The staff is extremely friendly, the food is always tasty, and the menu offers a variety of options at different price points. Additionally, the decor is cozy and welcoming, and the ceiling is especially impressive.
This restaurant serves the best prime rib in Nelson on Friday-Sunday. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and came with a large Yorkshire pudding on top, gravy, horseradish, mashed potatoes, and broccolini. The waitstaff was delightful and the atmosphere was energetic, creating a perfect dining experience.
Great cocktails in a historic 19th century hotel. The lounge is beautiful. Definitely ask the bar staff for a quick history lesson of the building. It's pretty fascinating
Cutest little old heritage hotel bar I 've been to in many years. Great service, lots of history, unique (try the Okonomiyaki 'Tokyo ' fries and delicious (when was the last time you felt you got enough black olives and feta on your Greek salad? food even live guitar. In my humble opinion Anthony Bourdain would have appreciated this place very much (and Nelson as well for that matter . I will absolutely come here whenever I 'm in the area, love love loved it!
The staff at this restaurant is amazing, the fish and chips are always delicious, and the ambiance is cozy and unique, with a library-type lounge in the beautiful and historic Hume Hotel. The onion soup is on the sweeter side but still delicious. Next time, I want to try the chicken, brie, and fig burger because it sounds amazing. If you reserve a window seat, you can enjoy the view of local pedestrians and traffic, with some cool old cars passing by in the warmer months. This restaurant is in a great location for walking and enjoying Nelson's history.
