East Side Mario's Ottawa Hunt Club

Excellent dining experience!. I will be honest. I have not had great experiences with ESM in the past. However, we decided to give them one more try having not been there in a year.<br/ <br/ I cannot believe how great the food was. I am Iitalian and a food snob when it comes to anything Italian in restaurants. We ordered the 4 cheese ravioli that came with such a lovely delicious sauce. The veal parm with penne and again this really great sauce. Wow! Not to mention the all you can eat soup or salad and garlic bread.<br/ <br/ The service as well was great. The only thing I did not like is that when we went for seconds on the soup and salad, the second portion came with our meal. It was encumbersome to eat at that point. i would have preferred they waited to serve us the main meal after we had finished with our soup and salad.<br/ <br/ We will be returning again someday! Good meal. You won't go away hungry and the food is always good.If you want a real italian dinner I wouldn't go to East sides but it's always good and the bread and salad will fill you up

Ambiance:<br/ East Side Mario's has stayed the same in terms of decor from as long as I could remember. it is suppose to feel like you are eating some where in Italy. I personally enjoy the ambiance at East Side.<br/ <br/ Food:<br/ Definitely had some ups and down at East Side over the years, they bring in new items time to time so upgrade their menu. A classic will always be their bread, soup and salads. Unfortunately I always only want the tomatoe soup and they never seem to have any.<br/ <br/ Minestrone soup: this was very unappetizing, absolutely no taste<br/ <br/ Parmesan Peppercorn Pasta: really good, it was flavourful, creamy and definitely a great pasta<br/ <br/ Chicken Parm Sliders: in concept very good, generous portion of chicken, flavourful and leaving you filling full. The only thing was that it was dry, just needed some sauce.<br/ <br/ Salmon: delicious <br/ <br/ Pesto Sandwich: tasty, especially the parm fries <br/

Waitress is the best ever!. My boyfriend and i went to this location last night. The food is always great but the service tends to suck, i actually had the rudest waiter ever here once (literally threw bread on our table while walking by without looking at us). Jill was so great! She couldn't do enough for us, was always asking what she could get us, drinks were refilled before we realized they were empty! She was so friendly, and just the best waitress I've ever seen.

Food is great and we always get great and friendly service, trademark of East Side Marios. Good job to the staff!
