The Joy Of Gluten Free (west End)

I had my husband stop by on a Friday after work to pick up a few items after reading that the food was good. Unfortunately, it was not. The cornmeal buns we got were not only incredibly dry and not very tasty, two of the three had mold growing on them. As for the assorted box of cookies we got, they were also dry and I wasn't much of a fan. My husband did enjoy his chocolate croissant that he got to eat on his way home, but that's the only thing we actually finished. While I like to support small, local, gluten-free places, we won't be going back.

As someone who can’t eat gluten, this place is a haven for every treat or baked good you could imagine. While I can understand the negative reviews, I personally have never had a bad experience and have loved everything I’ve gotten there and have been treated with kindness from the owner and from Laura. I can understand that as a small business with few employees it’s challenging to balance the baking side with greeting customers being busy could come off as being rude even though it wasn’t intended to be. Of course things are pricier than their gluten counterparts but I expect this as ingredients run a much higher cost. I will keep coming and hope that others will continue to give them the chance, especially those with dietary restrictions. Keep up the amazing work for us sensitive folk. :

Have been here many, many times and love all of the food! Thought it was time to give a review! The meat pie melts in your mouth, the bread is simply delicious, love the butter tarts so so good , and have tried many of the squares and have never been disappointed! If a price point is a concern, the products meets all delicious expectations! Definitely will be going back again.

I love supporting local businesses however in todays economy make sure you spend your money on businesses that truly value your support. I was really surprised at how rude, dismissive and unprofessional the women I spoke to on the phone today.

DO NOT COME HERE! The owner is the rudest. As you can see by the majority of the reviews and even more so the way she responds to them. Very condescending. The products are most definitely not worth the service. This place should be out of business. I suspect it will be soon.
