The establishment was recommended by the owner of the gite we were staying with despite there being a fairly well known restaurant in the quaint fishing village of Kerdruc. Having gourged ourselves with langoustines earlier in the day a simple meal of oysters and crab was just what the doctor ordered and to top it off it was walking distance from where we were staying and had a view to die for. An oyster farmer who runs a small restaurant, the seafood comes from his own oyster beds out front in the estuary and crab pots. Can't get fresher than this. As it was early in the season he opened especially for us and provided some insight into the differeing styles and sizes of oysters as well as crabs. A bottle of dry white wine, a plate of freshly opened oysters and a great view, what more could you ask for? Perhaps a little difficult to find and down a long track in the woods it is worth the effort. Signposted off the main road to the port of Kerdruc just before you wind down to the car park. The view of the estuary of the Aven is wonderful (photo) and the pile of old oyster shells in the woods (Photo) is testimony to past consumers. Unfortunately I forgot to take a shot of the crab before we started, so after we finished will have to do. Deserves much more custom (and reviews).
