Lazy J Cajun - New Braunfels

We got the grilled shrimp sandwich and the small catfish plate. Both were delicious. Atmosphere is casual, with mainly outdoor dining. Servers are friendly and explained menu options well. Best fried catfish and hushpuppies I've tasted in years.

Food on point! Varied menu. Outdoor covered patio dining. Super clean restrooms! Hilltop location, nice breeze view. Worth the extra 5-minute drive. Free live music on Saturday night.

This was depressing for me, spent a lot of money on this and got no potatoes, no corn, and no sausages and I really wanted crawfish boil, but they didn’t have it so I got the crab. The only thing it came with was butter that tasted off and the banana pudding I got. And so expensive for crab that had little meat on it. When I got there the place was empty and only the employees were there. And should have left when I saw my order come out of cooler from Target. But the people were so nice and I couldn’t do that. Just not their fault, but maybe the website is. I don’t think I’m going back there again.

We were their first, fired shrimp entree customers and we were extremely satisfied. They do Cajun style fried foods perfectly. We’ll be customers from now on, and are spreading the word on how good their food is!
