Was down for the Eldora race and decided to stop in. Great old place with amazing food, drinks and good service. We feel this was one of the best meals we had in many years, we are well traveled and eat out most nights of the week. This is now a must stop for us

Great food! We ordered the lobster corn fritters for an appetizer. They were delicious! Also had the crab cake BLT with fries. The crab cake is spicy, but very good. The fries were perfect! We also split the brownie dessert...amazing. They have a large bar of beers, wines and other liquors. Overall, the food was fantastic! Definitely a new favorite eating spot.

UPDATE: We were so happy that 17 West brought back their signature steaks. We returned and had one of the best meals we have had....anywhere, and we live in DC, where the choices are plentiful. The veal chop and ribeye are second to none, as are all the sides. Waitress was a delight, and the cocktails are always made to perfection. Truly one of our favorite places that we visit, and we've traveled the entire country!! QWe were really looking forward to stopping in at our favorite small town restaurant, but were so very disappointed when we learned the menu changed, and no longer offered the best steaks. Why on earth would you add chopped steak, and remove a ribeye?! We honestly looked forward to coming here every time we were in town. Sadly, the menu is now just boring, and we'll be looking for an alternative place to dine.

Fabulous place with the finest gourmet food around. The staff is very attentive and makes the experience much better because of it. It is truly the kind of place you want to keep secret and all to yourself.

My wife and I enjoyed an early dinner on a Wednesday, and I must say, the restaurant was spotless and impeccably maintained. Our server attended to us right away and remained attentive throughout our meal. My wife ordered the shepherd's pie, which she declared was the best she had ever tasted. I opted for the garden Alfredo, and the pasta was cooked to perfection with a sauce that was light and complementary, rather than heavy like many Alfredo sauces tend to be. The prices were quite reasonable given the exceptional dining experience and the quality of the food we had. This is not a chain restaurant; it offers beautifully crafted dishes in an exquisite setting, accompanied by the best service we've experienced in quite some time. Treat yourself to this place; you won't be disappointed!
