Criollisimo Sandwich Shop - New Britain

Came here just in time for lunch! All the fresh rice was being replenished as I was next in line for my to go order! This place was packed and rightfully so. The line moved quick as did the food. But there was plenty displayed in a buffet covered case with trays of amazing Spanish cuisine to choose from. I got a little bit of everything as I planned it to be for my lunch and dinner but with the portion size I might have it for 3 meals tomorrow too! Great prices and so much flavor in the food! Rice was fluffy. My favorite was the pork with yellow rice. So delicious! Very friendly service and I will definitely be back!

Delicious food, big portions, clean restaurant, friendly service. Ordered rice, pork chop, and an empanada on first visit now looking forward to going back to try other dishes. Highly recommend for takeout lunch.

When you walk in your Knees may buckle a bit from the aroma of food! I could go on and on about the food. You have to experience this for yourself though. I can't believe this is our 1st time coming here and I drive by it multiple times a week. My bad!!! First, I must give Kudos to Melina for being so sweet and welcoming, especially for our first time there! She ever so kindly walked us through all of the items. We sat in the dining area and the music was nice and low. Secondly, the pernil (pulled pork) just melts in your mouth. The cuts of ribs were huge! Tostones and fried bananas were so so good. It really made me miss my Abuela who always cooked for me when I visited her. I told Melina I would be back every Friday from now on! They also sell cold salads, macaroni and potato salad, Bacalao Salad, and sweets like flan and tres leches! Next visit, steak and yuca for me!!! Easy 5 stars!

I 'll give this restaurant 0 stars for customer service, I placed an order over the phone for 13 alcapurias, When I asked her for the price she hummered the phone on me then I called back and she said sorry we 're busy so when she tells me the price I tell her to place the order and she said 25 minutes your alcapurrias will be ready I show up 30 minutes later my order has not even been made and when I ask why she said cause she didnt So she places the order and then I have to wait another 30 minutes and when I told her That I should have not have to wait 30 minutes It should have been done already, she gets an attitude with me Because I 'm upset that they did not my prepare my order, Then has the audacity to tell me I 'm not feeling well today so either want the order or not, Yeah I will country isn 't a crisis with covid and this womanShe is not feeling well if that 's the case she should not be preparing food for anybody at this moment if she 's not feeling well. Customers are entitled to be upsetIf the orders are not done after they have been told they will be done at a certain time especially when you paid over the phone, Quick to take my money but could have related a message to the kitchen smh
