The bang-bang shrimp were disappointing, tasting more like they were coated in buffalo sauce rather than a sweet and spicy pepper sauce. On a positive note, the chips served with the dip were fantastic—definitely fresh and delicious. The gator was the standout appetizer; the accompanying spices and vegetables complemented it perfectly. For my main course, I opted for the crab cakes. They were good, though not particularly visually appealing, but they were mostly lump crab meat with very little filler. I was surprised by the $39 market price, as I’m willing to pay for quality crab cakes, but I expected something closer to the Maryland standard for that price. My husband and I shared our dishes, but I can’t recall exactly what he had (some kind of seafood pasta), so I won't comment specifically on that. It was good but unremarkable. The highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert. They offer a homemade key lime pie, and I struggle to find the right words for it. Normally, I’m not a fan of key lime pie—it doesn’t usually rank high on my dessert list—but after our server's description, we had to try it even though we were full. It was exceptional. I would return to Frogz just for that dessert. Overall, the meal was on the expensive side, and I’m unsure if the quality of the food justified the cost, but we had a very enjoyable evening. We sat and chatted long after finishing our meal, not even noticing the staff cleaning up around us until they had done so for quite some time. It was around closing time, possibly even a bit later, and they never made us feel rushed to leave. The ambiance is perfect for a cozy night out with drinks and friends. I think we will definitely return.
The food was delicious and service was great. I had never eaten frog legs before and they were not bad at all. The sauce was delicious. The quantity of food is worth the money! We sat outside and the atmosphere outside was as pleasurable as it was inside! Would recommend stopping by and having a tasty treat!
This restaurant was the perfect place to dine. The service was exceptionally friendly and courteous. Everything was clean, and the patio dining area was outstanding! I enjoyed every moment of this dining experience.
We liked the quirky atmosphere and the fact that it was kid friendly, beyond that there's nothing I can recommend unless you enjoy bad and very overpriced food. For example, the $17 crab cake appetizer was one small, mediocre crab cake. All in all, we paid nearly $100 for a meal that consisted of 4 tiny appetizers (all of which were bad), 2 Margaritas, my toddler's Mac and cheese, and her sweet potato fries (which were the tastiest dish we had). We definitely wish we'd just stayed home and saved the money!
Hidden away in New Brockton, this restaurant is a delightful find. I absolutely love it! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great spot even if it feels a bit remote. The steaks are enormous and cooked to perfection. Make sure to reserve a table or call ahead, especially on weekends, as it tends to get quite busy. If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you on a crowded night—after all, what restaurant doesn't have a wait during the weekends? Just unwind and enjoy the patio and tiki bar!
