Feedback gevenThe person at the register was picking their nose while there were at least ten other customers in the restaurant. I considered filing a complaint, but without my receipt, which has a specific number on it, I couldn't find a way to do so. At that point, I had already wasted enough money because, of course, we still had to eat our food afterward.
I visited the Subway in New Hampton, Iowa, and I was served by a worker named Jonah. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Subway as a whole, as well as the various franchises. I asked him several questions due to my previous dissatisfaction with multiple Subway locations across Iowa, and he answered every one of them thoroughly. He also made a fantastic sub for me. The bread was fresh, and I had a steak Baja melt, which was delicious. Previously, I had been very disappointed with other Subways, particularly those in Waverly and Centerpoint. However, my experience here was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this Subway to anyone.
I’ve always enjoyed eating at Subway, but this particular location has two types of employees, much like anywhere else. However, when I request toppings for my footlong sandwich, I expect more than just three slices of tomato or five jalapeños. What really bothered me was when I politely asked for extra jalapeños and tomatoes, and the woman behind the counter responded with a flat "No! We have to make our veggies last until the next truck arrives!" How is that my problem? They should either order enough supplies or close the store until they restock. There's no need for an attitude like that. I definitely won’t be returning while that employee is working.
The counters were cleaned twice as I was there for 30 minutes, staff was very efficient in self cleaning and was very communicative. One of the best subways I have been to except they stock soup seasonally. Very quick in their service.
The dining area is larger than in most Subway locations, and it’s very clean. I noticed that the customer before me asked for water and was shown where to find clear cups stacked on the counter. I hadn’t seen that at other Subways before—it's a nice touch!
