My two boys loved the waffles, my wife enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, and I tried the croque monsieur - all delicious. We also ordered mussels with white wine, which were fantastic. We can't wait to come back for dinner soon!
I absolutely adored the ambiance of the restaurant, with its classic floor and setup reminiscent of an old building in New Haven. The service at the bar was excellent and we were treated to delicious oysters with homemade cocktail sauce. I highly recommend trying the mussels and frites as well - they were both delicious and served in large portions.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a private group party upstairs that was causing quite a commotion, making it difficult for us to hear each other at the table. We kindly asked the staff to request that the music be lowered in hopes that the noise level would decrease, and they were accommodating. The group eventually dispersed and some members came downstairs, resulting in a more manageable noise level. The mussels were delicious and the service was top-notch.
After we ordered, our server came back to tell us that one of the main courses was not available. While we were finishing up our main course, the server brought the check (though we had not requested it) and never asked if we'd like dessert or coffee. We asked another server for three coffees and after a wait, they returned with three lukewarm espressos. Just not a good experience overall
We wanted to try out Atelier Florián for Restaurant Week and we're very happy we did. The food was great and the service was outstanding. We enjoyed the ambiance and overall look of the restaurant. It was cozy and sophisticated vibes and I would love to come back to try other items off the menu or even brunch perhaps one day.
