Hamilton Park - New Haven

The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are outstanding. From the very first bite, I was impressed. The bread service, especially the brioche, was exceptional. The scallop and squid appetizers were delicious, and the pasta was truly impressive. Our table enjoyed three pasta dishes, as well as the duck and meat pie. I highly recommend trying a variety of dishes. The desserts at Hamilton Park are not to be missed - the ParisBrest and panna cotta were the perfect way to end our meal. I am already looking forward to returning to try more dishes and am excited for the opening of the rooftop restaurant. This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the dining scene in New Haven.

I have visited this restaurant twice, once for lunch and once for weekend brunch. Unfortunately, both dining experiences were disappointing. During lunch, I ordered a burger that had a tough and dense patty with bland toppings. I also heard that the pasta was just average. Hoping for a better experience, I tried the brunch menu but was once again let down. The smoked salmon and English muffin was unimpressive and the portion size was surprisingly small. The duck confit hash had a stale taste, as if it had been left out overnight. To add to the disappointment, the price for the quality of food was unreasonable. The service was okay, but it was not enough to make up for the mediocre food. Overall, I found the dining experience at this restaurant to be underwhelming, even by New Haven standards.

The food, the service, and the incredible cocktails all combined to create a fantastic evening out.

We went to Siena for my husband’s birthday. Everything was perfect from start to finish! We split a Brussels sprout appetizer, which was quite good. I had the pappardelle bolognese, which was amazing. My husband had a truffle pasta special, also amazing. He had the tiramisu for dessert, which was delicious but not as light as the usual tiramisu. The service was warm and attentive. To top it all off, they comped us the dessert because it was my husband’s bday! Needless to say, we will be back.

Or server, Michael, was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Food was very good with the only downside being a bit too much salt for me, personally. Would definitely return.
