One 6 Three - New Haven

This is the best pizza in East Rock and definitely ranks among the top three in New Haven. Watching them cook in a wood-fired oven is truly an art form. They also serve some pretty good mac and cheese!

This is the best pizza place in New Haven! They offer creative and interesting dishes at great prices. Although it's a small space, I've never had trouble finding a table. I love that you can see the kitchen and watch them make the pizzas. The staff often has a unique community vibe, but they are always friendly and attentive. I tried the "Tor," which was surprisingly delicious with flavorful goat cheese and asparagus. The "King," featuring peanut butter and bacon, is worth returning for time and again. Additionally, the "Mushroom Among Us" pizza is my favorite mushroom pizza so far. I'm not usually a fan of truffle oil, as its taste can be overpowering, but that's just a matter of personal preference. They also serve the best Caesar salad I've had in recent memory. Overall, I visit at least once a month and always enjoy my meal!

--- I recently visited for the first time, and I was impressed by the friendly staff. Even though they seem to have a busy kitchen focused on making delicious pizza, they made sure to check in with each customer. I had just come from East Rock Brewery, where I learned they allow BYOB, so I brought a bottle to enjoy with my pizza. Each menu item sounded more tempting than the last. I started with the Grandma’s Meatballs, which could easily be a meal on its own. They were layered with thick cheese and served hot, with the meat being both tender and flavorful. I also tried the Black Baby, which was delicious and recommended as a great starter if you enjoy a bit of sweetness. I spoke to one of the staff members who suggested the King pizza, claiming it was Elvis Presley's favorite. I must admit, I usually like my pizza with traditional sauce, but I'm always open to new experiences. This pizza featured a base of peanut butter sauce topped with smoked speck, caramelized walnuts, and mozzarella, and it was drizzled with cranberry-honey jam after baking. I was curious and decided to give it a try, and I was not disappointed! I have to mention the crust as well; it was incredibly flavorful, possibly the best I've ever had. I’ll definitely be making a note of what to try next time. Overall, this is a place that should be on everyone's must-visit list!

I have the mushroom among us and the margarita with huh. both delicious, really love the soße in the margarita. it had a bit of a bang. mushroom among us was teigy with a generous doll of Ricotta cheese with a delicate aroma of truffle oil.

A must try. “Sweet and salami” is a favorite, as well as “Breaking My Grandma’s Meatballs” great local place. A takeout spot, but from time to time enjoy sitting at a sidewalk table with the pup to enjoy the pizza and warm weather. Just try them, you won’t be sorry.
