Portofino's New Haven

We ended up here by coincidence, the place we were headed first was closed. But what a happy coincidence, we had a great time. The bread before the appetizer felt fresh and warm, excellent with butter. The food was generous and we all liked it a lot. Even the vodka sauce, which I don't like, was good. service was the best part of it, quick, friendly and attentive. Will Go Back.

Never ever disappoints...each dish is better than the next. Incredible service is the norm. We've been coming here over 20 years and will continue for 20 more.

All I wanted was a **** mary and brunch but got so much more. Met the chef and was treated well by the bartender. It was a perfect sunday brunch. I will go again and tell others. Burgers Bendict and bm combo. Whiskey selection is intense.
