Actually, on the small side compared to other similar places. Bread was not an Italian loaf but a short Cuban Loaf. Odd. I even commented to the counter guy and he kinda just shrugged like its just the bread THE BREAD!!! THE BREAD!! ITS NOT ITALIAN BREAD!!! ITS ALL ABOUT THE BREAD!!! GEEZ!!! I 'm still hungry This sandwich wasn 't all that filling. Price was on par with most other places. Just a side note: WTF is with the TV tuned to National Geographic Channel?? I gotta hear about the mating rituals of the sea slug while im trying to eat gross. Just put on ESPN or CNN please.
I have eaten in at Papa Joe's several times over the years, as well as taken food out. The food is always of a high quality, and the sit down dining experience has always been outstanding as far as the service is concerned. Whenever I pass by Papa Joe's on Hillside I stop in for a meatball hero. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that on occasion there has been a kid manning the front counter who was rather slow and inattentive in getting my order. That aside the place is all good and worth checking out.
