Southern Spice - New Hyde Park

Keema dosa and shrimp dosa were quite unique and had great flavor. Kerala crab cake is also highly recommended. Malabar parotta and chilli chicken were very good. We told them to make everything spicy so everything had a good authentic taste

Ordered delivery of the following items: 1. Chettinad Curry the curry and naan was okay but parotta came with this order is not freshly made (they heat up the frozen one) 2. Kerala Beef Dry Roast Parotta the dry beef was okay. Again the Parotta not good at all, will not order again. 3. Chicken Dhum Biriyani the Biriyani was okay, it doesn’t appear dhum as mentioned in the menu though. Will not order again.

I recently hired Southern Spice for catering for a baptism and 1st birthday party with 160 guests, and the food was fantastic. Many attendees commented on how delicious the dishes were and said it was some of the best Indian cuisine they had tasted in Long Island. If you're in search of top-notch Indian food, definitely give Southern Spice a chance.

The chicken kothu poratta was delicious. The portion sizes were generous.

Very friendly staff especially Manu, he took his time to explain the menu and the chef made the food to the perfect spiciness...loved it!! Would be back again soon!
