The back deck was completely empty at 5 PM on a pleasant 60°F day, which is a shame because the views of the water, boats, and trains are fantastic. The bartender was really friendly towards our group. The bar food was excellent! The fries, burger, chicken, and an *amazing* fried dough pizza were all top-notch. I imagine that if you're just visiting as a regular bar patron rather than seeking out dinner for little ones, you'd have a very different but equally enjoyable experience. But for us, it was perfect!
If you missed the ferry and need somewhere to pass the time, this is the perfect spot. Our server, Chris, was very friendly, and the food was quite good. After missing our ferry, we chose to stop here, and we were pleased to find that it is also wheelchair accessible, which was a significant advantage since one member of our group uses a wheelchair.
I didn't eat at the restaurant, but I did enjoy some drinks. It's been ages since I've been out, and I finally decided to go out again. They have security checking at the entrance, which is reassuring. The drinks are quite strong and definitely worth the price. I went on a Friday, which happened to be Latino Night, although I didn't realize it at the time. The atmosphere was incredibly friendly—everyone was chatting and it felt like one big family. I met some people during the night, but we haven't kept in touch. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I plan to return. I highly recommend this place! Also, I noticed there was a strong police presence on Bank Street throughout the night, which adds an extra layer of security.
Les was our bartender the Saturday night of sail fest. Drinks were delicious and the bar tenders were more than entertaining. Will deff be coming back again soon!
I took my little children out to the outdoor terrace, and it had been quite a few years since I enjoyed a good old-fashioned dinner, so I was feeling nostalgic. The back deck was empty around 5 PM on a 60°F day, which was a pleasant surprise, as the views of the water, boats, and trains were fantastic. The bartender was very friendly to our group. The bar food was excellent! The fries, burgers, and a fantastic fried dough pizza stood out. I think that if someone visits as a regular bar patron without kids, they would have a very different but equally enjoyable experience. Overall, it was a perfect outing for us.
