Thaihey Nola - New Orleans

I was blown away by the incredible flavors of the Thai dishes at this restaurant. The level of spiciness was perfect. My favorites were the Khao Soi Tofu, Kraprow Vegan, and Tofu Satay with that delicious sauce. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

The Pad Thai was underwhelming. The portion size was more like an appetizer, the dish lacked flavor, and the eggs were cut in strips, which was unusual. It was not worth the price.

I tried the Crawfish Green Curry for the first time yesterday and it was delicious. However, when I ordered it again today, it was not as flavorful and the portion of green curry soup was lacking. Some of the pasta was dry because the soup barely covered the bottom of the bowl it was served in. I wish the quality had been consistent with my previous experience. On a positive note, there was a generous amount of Crawfish tails in the dish, which helped fill me up.

Best Thai food that I've had in years. The Pad Thai Gulf Shrimp is delicious, not too sweet, deliciously savory and not overwhelmed by the appropriately tart tamarind. I have been trying to find a good pad thai at multiple places in NOLA and this one is the best that I've found so far. The Massaman Ribeye is also amazing. The Tofu Satay (V) was perfect. The serving sizes are small for New Orleans but the flavoring of the dishes are worth it. Also, remember to get rice as isn't included.

The Vegan Boat Noodle Soup was so delicious! The broth was unlike anything I've ever tasted! And the Purple Palmer is so refreshing!
