The menu is one-of-a-kind and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.

My experience at the buffet before a Saints game was disappointing. More than half of the food options were unavailable, our water glasses were never refilled, and to top it off, our credit card was charged for someone else's bill. I would not recommend returning to this restaurant.

8 Block is located in the Hyatt Regency, a large convention hotel. It is the sole option for a sit-down breakfast at the hotel. However, be aware that they only offer a buffet. Despite this, we dined here every morning and had a pleasurable experience. They offer plenty of hot coffee, a great variety of hot and cold food options, delicious breads, fresh fruit, and both salted and unsalted butter. I would definitely return for another meal.

I came back because my first experience was wonderful, but yesterday I brought a friend back for her Birthday Brunch and it was a total BUST!!!! We got there for 10:30 and by 11, they were breaking down the food stations and not replacing items. The Mimosa Bar was clear across the restaurant from where they seated us and twice we had to ask them to bring out more along with more fruit that didn't have gnats attached to them (disgusting). A lot of the food selections once they ran out weren't replaced. It was a horrible experience and I won't be back and I'll pass the word along as well.

Cheap buffet style food. Plentiful if not particularly enjoyable.
