Barcadia New Orleans

This restaurant isn't the best choice for a quick lunch, but it was nearby, so we gave it a try. However, after sitting down, scanning the QR code for the menu, and getting accustomed to their contactless ordering system, we ultimately decided to leave. The atmosphere just didn’t match my idea of a good lunch spot.

The restaurant didn't have any beer on tap and lacked ingredients for an Old Fashioned, resulting in a rather limited selection overall. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the options were sparse. It’s a decent spot for taking tequila shots and enjoying a carefree night out, but the offerings aren't particularly sophisticated. On the positive side, the whiskey sour was quite tasty. It's a good place for late-night hangouts, featuring a more comfortable layout compared to many nearby venues. Overall, it seems to blend in nicely with the town.

The food is below average, but since it primarily functions as a bar and club, that was to be expected! They do have some fun games available, and the club in the back is a nice touch!

We went in this club last Friday and a young intoxicated man pushed me and elbowed my wife in the face without any provocation. We tried to explain the situation to the security but after a few minutes of discussion other security staff started yelling at us telling us to leave. Without allowing us to leave by ourselves they immediately pushed us out. As they pushed me out, they sprain my left thumb. We have been physically abused twice that night. First from thatintoxicated young man then from their security staff. We never showed any sign of violence against anyone that night. This happened 07/29/22. This placed is ran by abusing security and dangerous people. Not recommended.

I had the peanut butter soup with smoked duck and mashed squash. New York Matinee called it a playful but mysterious little dish I loved it. Then the red snapper with violets and pine nuts. That followed nicely.
