Food was delicious. Highly recommend you stop by for the chef specials. So much flavor.
Best food in Central City, probably New Orleans. The chef is amazing, the staff are sweet and the vibe is authentic. My suggestion: Order the bread pudding, be too full from the delicious Mardi Gras Mambo to finish it then take it with you to eat later that day on a picnic. Then go back because you don’t have a way to heat it up and order more good eats!
When I tell you this place is good. I mean slap yo momma, shut yo mouth kinda good. One dish was called Superdome (my fav) and I’m not sure about the other. I just know it was delicious. This is what I mean when I want good food. When visiting, this will definitely be the spot. Thank you chef!
Where do I begin? This place blew away my expectations. From succulent crawfish Mac and cheese to tender crispy fried chicken to a tangy and well seasoned potato salad, chef Heard seems to be running up the score on the local competition. The quality and flavor of the food far surpasses what is usually available at this price point, and Heard Dat compares favorably with restaurants that are two and three times more expensive. It’s a bit out of the way for most visitors, and it definitely isn’t in a “touristy” area, but Heard Dat Kitchen is a can’t miss stop in New Orleans.
