Fortunately, we managed to get a table, and yes, we shared it with another couple. Jazz takes center stage here, but their craft cocktails are equally noteworthy. We were in the mood for Palomas, and our spicy yet mild drinks were just right. Be sure to check out their impressive cocktail menu. Equally impressive is the service; despite the bartenders—who are truly mixologists—being busy, they handled orders swiftly, and I think I only waited a few minutes for each round. The band that night was full of energy, really getting the crowd pumped up and dancing. They even played a bluesy jazz rendition of a Bruce Springsteen song! We will definitely be back on our next visit.
Amy is one of the BEST bartenders I've ever encountered, and I went to college in Wisconsin. If you're looking for a cozy bar with great music and fantastic people, this is the spot for you!
The bartenders here are fantastic, and the music is excellent. I discovered this spot by chance and ended up staying for two sets by pianist Hoe Kennedy. I highly recommend it! It’s a perfect venue for true jazz enthusiasts.
One of my favorite joints for an excellent evening of LIVE entertainment, great libations, and usually a smart , chill crowd. Great place for after dinner too, located a 1 2 block from Bourbon Street. Friendly, professional bartenders that make excellent cocktails. My brother and I swear we had the best Old Fashioned cocktail of our lives there. Thank you for introducing us to Russell 's Bourbon! It is a small place so if you score a table share if you must don 't leave! Music is always authentic and interesting. A MUST location when I am in the Big Easy. Sadly it closes at midnight! small mention I found funny : one night the TV behind the bar had on The Big Lebowski with French subtitles..not that you could hear it over the crowd music.....just so New Orleans cool
This was one of my favorite bars in NOLA. The bartender was so nice and fun to watch. We asked them questions about what they were making and they were really excited to tell us all about it. It was a smaller bar and it luckily wasn 't very busy. They had live jazz music and the duo was great! I wish I got their names so I could find them on social media. They sang an original song called Is a Bat a Bird ? and I am still singing it 3 days later. The drinks were delish. I ordered The Frenchy and it was soooo tasty. It was like a pink lemonade champagne combo. My fiancé got the la panier de pommes and he loved it! I 'd 100% come back here.
