Feedback gevenI am a regular at this place. Unbelievable cocktails during happy hour $7 a drink! And they are truly crafted! The staff has been unbelievable. Unfortunately most bartenders i loved have left due to the owners negligence. I do hope they treat employees better because i love this place and do not want to stop going. The food is also great! The wedding reception space is spectacular as well. Highly recommended!
Right next to the Hampton Inn. Recommended by the hotel and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and service. Our server Victoria was attentive (but not overly so) and provided great recommendations. My husband had the skirt steak and I had NY Strip. Both were beautifully presented, with substantial portions and delicious. The truffle fries were to die for. Good cocktails, wine and bread.
Cute restaurant. Amazing customer service. Loved our waiter and the atmosphere. Drinks were spectacular and very reasonably priced. The food was just okay.
(writing the same review since there are two places on google for the same place) This place is absolutely superb, and that still feels like an understatement. I was in town from Portland, OR and needed to book a reservation for a special occasion. I initially tried booking reservations at several other places, but they were all closed for winter break. Novellas was my final option for something that had potential (having never eaten there before). Now I lived in New Paltz for several years and have a pretty good idea of what the dining options are like in the area (not bad, not phenomenal). In my opinion, this place wipes the floor with everything else in the area and having done much travel, is one of the best places I 've eaten in a while. Everything was cooked to perfection, perfect portions, timing, plating, etc. There was not one aspect of the entire meal that I could say was subpar. If you 're looking for something with a romantic and classy vibe, this place is it. It 's a very good blend of casual and upper class. The person I was with has been a professional chef for the better part of 15 years and this was the first meal I 've had with them where they didn 't have to salt season anything. They feel exactly the way I do about the experience and that 's pretty impressive, considering they 're able to find some minor flaw with wherever we have eaten (not in a 'we want to complain about it ' way, but when you work with food you can 't help but judge most of what you 're eating). Also, Ryan was our server that night. He was awesome, upbeat, and a pleasure to deal with. In regards to the chef, whoever you are, you 're bringing some next level food to an area that needs it. Keep it up!
Although we only had appetizers and drinks, The Grille surpassed our expectations. Located among modest hotels, the ambiance was delightful. Christine was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the food (mussels, calamari, and flatbread) was excellent.
