Nice food quick service. Great staff. (Translated by Google) lovely food Fast service. Great staff
Kings Court is in a straight fight with Swans and Jade Garden for Chinese superiority in New Ross, having eaten in all three you can safely say they're all much of a muchness. King's Court is slightly more upmarket than the other two. The restaurant is smart with chinoiserie and lacquered surfaces. We were greeted with complimentary prawn frackers and spring rolls which was a nice touch. Half a duck was tasty and not at all boney or gristly. Mains of chilli fillet beef were a bit too sweet for my palette and the beef with green pepper and black bean sauce were a tad salty however this is just down to personal preference. Two courses, three mains and three beers were 78 euros. Would go again.
This restaurant has been a longtime favorite of ours, and we used to get takeout from here once a week. However, the quality of the food has declined recently, particularly the beef dishes. We ordered our favorite, the fillet of beef Szechuan, but it was tough and resembled stewed beef rather than a fillet. We were very disappointed and will not be returning. On a positive note, the staff at the restaurant are always friendly and helpful.
This restaurant in New Ross serves the highest quality Chinese food around. The portion sizes are generous without being overwhelming, and the staff is polite and friendly. I highly recommend trying the Singapore noodles, crispy shredded beef, and breast of chicken curry.
