Brooklyn Tap & Grill - New Westminster

Not sure how this bar stays open for business over the years... I was there for a friend's birthday party gathering and we were basically the only party in the place. There was one guy sitting up at the bar when we got there and then our group of about 15-16 people. It was a Saturday night and there was a Canucks game on as well and the place was empty. As the night went on there were a few other people who showed up but no more than 10 people I saw the whole night there. I refuse to eat there since the food quality is below your regular pub food expectations. My friend I ate dinner at the Greek restaurant next door before we got to the pub. I just don't understand how a bar can still exist over the years when there are no customers coming in, especially on a Saturday night with the Canucks game on. I have been to this bar a couple of times in the past just to have drinks and still nothing has changed about this place. Don't know how it is possible to keep an empty bar opened.

The guy who owns this bar is cheap, disrespectful, and overall a foul person.

This place never seems busy. I stop in during the day and have never seen more than 8 people in this place. Prices are ok. Cramped pool table. Lots of seating throughout. A bonus used to be the free parking but they got rid of that and have huge renovations taking over outside. But the inside is quiet and you wouldnt even know construction was happening once you make your way under protective scaffolding. It uses lots of woods to creat a warm atmosphere around the entire bar/lounge area. The real gem is the view. It can be seen from many spots inside. They have a narrow deck overlooking the river where all seats have a great unobstructed view.

DANGEROUSLY UNHEALTHY "food". A FILTHY establishmentYou will find the most WRETCHED & uncaring staff. Cannot mix a decent drink, watered down, over iced & undersized. The food is a true abomination that will endanger your health, and leave you feeling robbed if you are foolish enough to pay for the hog slop they serve you.
