Ishtar Donair - New Westminster

My husband brought me to Ishtar Donair from white rock just to show me this place. We got the chicken falafel platter and let me tell you it is like an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Everything is so fresh, made with precision and love. You can tell this guy knows what he's doing!! Im not usually a huge fan of chunky salads, but this one omg, the dressing on it, the jalapeños EVERYTHING, was fabulous. Definitely will be making a monthly trip out here, (maybe biweekly ; just to get the platter again!! Thanks so much! Support local business

One of the best places for middle eastern food in New West. The owner is from Iraq and knows what's up. Generous and friendly. I look forward to treating myself here from time to time. The Baklava is excellent too.

1st time here and have tried all the other donair shops in New Westminster. Very clean and polite. Got the chicken platter and it was portioned properly. When he added the sauce he did it with care, not just dumping a bunch of sauce from a spoon in a glob. Chicken was good too, not dried out from being on the skewer too long. Eco friendly microwavable containers that lock shut with a button not a stupid tab that just pops open. Defintly the best donair shop in town as far as I am concerned and will definitly go back. One other note, a customer asked for the bathroom key when he was making our food and he didn't grab it and hand it to them...he paused pointed and didn't touch it...which is a good sign that everyone is conscience of cleanliness. Just go there it's great.

Good stuff! Falafel was fried to order and veg and rice were flavourful.A few tables to eat in and the environment looked pretty clean.

A very personable experience. The food was amazing full of flavour and a generous portion for a very reasonable price. The service was exceptional. The owner was very genuine and super nice. Would highly recommend this place. An overall wonderful experience :
