Okonomi Sushi Restaurant

Service was horrible. Food, nothing special. Took forever to get anything, food, tea, check, everything! Basically ignored by server. They had loud rap music playing replete with foul languag and I had my young daughter with me. I complained and the waitress grudgingly turned it down (not off) but the chef then turned it back up again. Totally inappropriate. This is a family restaurant? SO many things wrong with this place. I will never return.

Decor is not the fanciest but the couches are comfortable. Food was delicious. We had the tuna don, chopped scallop roll, and tempura ice cream . The pink rice was so delicious! Service was great. Would definitely come back although it's a little pricey.

This place used to be called Okonomi Sushi but I guess they changed owners and now they are called Sushi Well. We didn't feel like cooking so we decided to get take out. Sushi Well has their full menu online and most of them have pictures so you have an idea of what the sushi rolls would look like. I got the 4pc spicy salmon sashimi $(6.99) and Okonomi special roll $(9.95) The Okonomi roll is pretty big, I expected that because I am paying 10 bucks for a roll. I wasn't able to finish the entire roll and I had 2 pieces left at the end, it is quite filling. The spicy salmon sashimi was alright, by the time I eat it at home, it seems that all the spicy sauce came off of the salmon, so it was just regular sashimi.Overall, the price, quality and portion size was decent. It wasn't great sushi, but it wasn't bad either. I would rather drive a little bit further and get sushi from Sushi California instead (my all time favourite sushi joint). Would I come here again? Yes, only if I am too lazy to drive to Sushi California.

Can't say there's much I don't like about this place, the couches are awesome. The food is like a 3.75 out of 5

I live near Okonomi and visit occasionally and get take-out often. I tend to get the same thing - the salmon don, which never disappoints. I have had other dishes from the restaurant, including specialty rolls and noodle dishes, all have been very tasty and reasonably priced. The decor inside has changed a bit over the years and last time I found the couches a little lumpy. The building is old and a touch rustic, but it's a nice place to unwind.
