The slice is actually $1 with no tax, not 99 cents as advertised. The pizza was surprisingly tasty and a good deal for the price. Parking is not available, so it's recommended to take the subway instead.
My experience at this restaurant was terrible. After purchasing two pizzas and being told I hadn't paid, I added a few more dollars without much concern due to the low cost. However, I was then informed once again that I had not paid, despite making two separate payments. I had to argue with the staff to receive the pizza I had already paid for. The employee was extremely rude and unwilling to make any compromises. After 15 minutes of requesting my pizza, I was finally given a poorly cooked one, as it had been hastily prepared after my persistence.
Oh what great pizza for $0.99! It is comparable to all of the expensive pizza places and it is natural tasting and handmade. I think this singular, yet mighty slice of New York Thin Crust Pizza was well worth the $0.99. Also, they had a wide variety of drinks, like soda and Gatorade, which I think is great when you’re not looking to spend a lot. So, overall this place is well worth the visit if you want cheap food in the area.
How can you go wrong....down 6th Ave from where Ray's was. Ok, not as good but how could any place be? This is a good value and you get to see some local color.
