We were for the $16 lunch special. the piece of cable was bigger than expected. but what was bigger was the part of the pommes. next time I would just have a lunch and order another piece of big cod and I'll share the fries with my buddy.

It is just something so heavenly over beer-dipped fresh fish and perfectly cooked chips. it is the heaven in every bite. I can’t even say to try a certain thing because everything is the heaven itself, but what I’ll say is that when they go here, they are disappointed WON’T.

I enjoy my first real British fishing and chips in a long time. great service. great eating. I'm looking forward to more.

I ordered the fried squid and broken beetroot that sounds weird, but I really liked the beetroot. I was served outdoors, with friendly permission of tea-sympathy, and although it was irony outside, I was warm enough to enjoy my eating and my newcastle brown ale. the wetar sauce was delicious, was it dill I discovered? this teig is light and thin, so that they can taste the fish (or sausage or beet). it is not the crunchy hard, extra crispy teig that is popular in American almost food chains. this meal would have been better if I had ordered a fried fish and scallop combo!

The food had zero flavor. We immediately needed to salt the food. We asked for it extra crispy based on the soggy look of the other patrons' fish. Even with that request, the fish was not crispy when I broke a piece off to eat the fish, and the breading separated. When searching for fish and chips nearby or the best fish and chips, this location shows near the top. Do not be fooled. This is a no go if you know good fish and chips. Warm drinks to add to the experience.
