Barcade - New York

I can't recommend this location at the moment due to the unfriendly and peculiar behavior of the bouncer who was on duty on September 24th. In the past, I've enjoyed a great beer selection, friendly bartenders, and, of course, the nostalgic games. However, my friends and I felt so uncomfortable and disrespected that we decided to leave right after the aggressive bag check and the bouncer's strange, loud comments.

I usually love Barcade, but this particular visit was disappointing. The space was too cramped and not very clean, and the service was average at best. There are plenty of other fun bars in the area that I prefer, so I likely won't be returning. What a shame!

I haven't sampled the food yet, but it certainly looks appealing. I typically visit this restaurant once a month after my trips to a nearby business. They offer a great selection of retro games that are a lot of fun; my personal favorite is Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. The controllers for all the games I've played are very responsive, except for one machine that allows you to choose from a long list of games but gives you a limited time to play. I attempted to play Super Mario Bros 3, but it was completely unplayable, which was disappointing since I wanted to see how far I could get that night. Overall, I rate this place 5 out of 5 and strongly recommend giving it a try!
