Second stay at the hotel. The attention from the staff is excellent!
Stopped for lunch. Very limited menu. Service was good and the food was OK.
I asked the restaurant to call me to let me know what Easter Brunch would offer. They did not. We arrived to find $35 huevos rancheros and $35 ceasar salad, which came with a kabob of fruit in a pool of yogurt. Burgers Soup Salad. We were the only people in the place and still the three servers (including manager) failed to refill coffee--ever. Server peppered two salads and left without asking if he should do the soups (which needed it). The light bistro food was completely indifferent, and not one person bothered to smile, much less actually bring what we needed (a teaspoon, son's entree, my coffee) in any reasonable manner. View of WTC construction is cool. Go up and look at it, but don't stay for food. Dreadful.
No acknowledgement from the staff of my reservation for 10:45 a.m. when I walked in. Staff looked almost surprised to see me and seemed relieved when I said all I needed was coffee. They promptly wanted to serve me coffee before I took my coat off. Had to hold them off till my guest arrives. Nice people but strange experience. Location is good for NYC/Jersey City meetings.
