The noodles here are incredible! During my first visit, I ordered the pork with green pepper, and on my second visit, I had the spicy beef. They have the perfect texture—soft yet chewy—and they soak up the broth's flavor beautifully. By the end of my meal, I was desperately searching for more noodles, to the point where my fingers cramped up, which made me realize I needed to come back for more! I also tried the chicken with green peppercorn, and I really enjoyed it. Just a heads up, it’s very spicy in that Sichuan way, with a numbing heat that might surprise you (although it’s definitely spicy). The flavor was amazing, and I would absolutely order it again! The only downside I noticed is that the wait for the noodle soup can be quite long. During my second visit, I think we waited about 30 minutes? The first time, my noodle dishes arrived after everything else, but we didn’t mind because we had other dishes to enjoy while waiting. Just keep in mind this isn’t a quick-serve spot—you’ll need a bit of patience. But I promise it’s well worth the wait!
The flavors here are incredibly authentic! While the prices are on the higher side, the portions are quite generous. I'm looking forward to returning to try even more dishes! By the way, it would be great if you could include the Chinese names of the dishes on DoorDash so I could order delivery as well. Food: 5/5
A little pricey but I really enjoyed the food! Taste felt authentic and very flavourful. We got the wintermelom with pork, stir fried cabbage, and shrimp.
I always walk by this place, and have made many mental notes on how I need to try it due to the inviting cozy-modern architecture and the crowd who frequents here. They were a Michelin guide recommended restaurant in 2020 and 2021, not sure what happened last year smh. I honestly don't know how that works at all so I could be so ignorant on that.I walked in without a res one evening and was seated immediately. Table for 1 perks. Menu is completely digitized, which has become my major gripe post pandemic but I get it. The menu is a bit confusing on how to navigate and could be improved.I got the Slurp Classic Lu Fen, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The perfect amount of kick on the spicyness level and just an overall phenomenal combination of flavors.I don't even know how to categorize this noodle dish, but I loved it. There is no broth it is just like a noodle based bowl. I have overdosed on ramen a bit and this was a great switch up.
