Feedback gevenThe restaurant has a nice ambiance. The sushi and sashimi were very good, and the short ribs were excellent. They were almost out of Vodka, but thankfully Heaven was just enough for us on a Tuesday night. The server was friendly, but not very well-informed.
I'm really confused with the negative reviews for Jado. In my eight visits to parties from two to six I have never waited too long for service or disappointed with food. My two negatives (OpenTable reservation system not switched on in time; no brown rice) are overshadowed by many strong positives (lychee martinis, albacore sashimi special, Sushi sashimi Samplers, crab avocado salad, sautéed Japanese mushrooms, all Nakajima... the list goes on). I've never been there when the place was packed, but it's hard to believe a little more stress would break the quality of food and service so drastically.
I've never checked a restaurant publicly in my whole life, but that was a big disappointment. After a friend's recommendation, two friends came and I came here. Not only did the server last forty minutes to take our order, the food also took an hour to get out, just to get wrong for my order. The quality of the fish was ok, but the rice of my friend was cold for her chirashi (almost felt like they were stuck in the little boys until the other dishes were ready) The delay in our food and services has simply reduced our food experience. We all work in industry and so much we have high standards, we also understand that things go wrong in restaurants. However, this was completely unacceptable. You need to better manage the staff. Just because the chef isn't there, it doesn't mean that the overall experience is suffering. The standard of a restaurant should remain the same at any time. Unless that was her standard. In this case, I have nothing to say.
