The waitress graciously brought me a glass of another type of white wine, which was at least fresh, and adequate The menu was too large for an un-busy restaurant and my heart sank a little. But I ordered the branzino, which I thought was a fresh and safe bet. Unfortunately the fish was high...really old and off and sickening. Made worse by being presented well on a lovely plate with roasted tomatoes and potatoes. I would never go back. However the waitress was again gracious and did all she could to salvage the situation.
The host seemed distracted and could not put us quickly, despite the empty restaurants. server have compensated for their posture. they were charming. but some desserts came immediately; others came minute later. After the dining room was half full, the noise became stubborn.
The food was good. the waiters are inviting. it was my friend birthday yesterday and I would ask a candle on dessert. but they seemed completely forgotten that what disappointed me a lot.
French Restaurant Week menu is a great value with classic bistro items. A traditional French bistro with well prepared food; Roquefort salad, Onion Soup gratineed, Steak frites, Duck confit, Creme brulee Chocolate mousse were all delicious bringing back nostalgic memories of France. No bells whistles-just straightforward good cooking.
Great food, large portions, we had a table of with a mandatory tip, absolutely zero service . hour dinner, things forgotten. This would be star if the service was decent, it wasn't , not sure if I would go back
