The sauce was delicious: not overly seasoned, great consistency, and the amount was just right. The grandma slices were just as good as Tommy?s, which I love. Slightly sweeter and plenty of basil with a thicker crust but one that?s not heavy or dense. I had pizza five times in 6 days. Luigi?s was two of those trips, and I canhonestly say I wish it had been four of those trips.
I'm a solid fan of all their pizzas particularly the grandma(picture below). My wife does make some valid critiques though, such as that the dough seems a bit flimsy if you're a fan of crunch. I on there other hand absolutely love the softer texture of this dough so no complaints from me, the prices are fair especially considering what other local spots charge and this place still has great taste ????
Their specialty slices are delicious. The Buffalo chicken is one of my fave slices in all of NY...but what is this? I ordered a meatball sub and it was mushy. Mushy and bland. The hot wings were good, not great but not bad. However these celery sticks makes me wonder about their food practices and food safety. Totally disgusting.
Great pizza, but I definitely prefer her grandma slice... his absolutely delicious
