My attached photo shows two women, since deceased, who were regulars of the restaurant allegedly since its opening decades ago. Sadly, they both recently passed within a year or two ago. The picture clearly shows their hands gnarled with age but still gesticulating facial expression still animated
The prices are very high for a diner. The food is good though. More of a Greek diner, doesn?t have potato latkes, which I really wanted. Their breakfast sandwiches are good.

For the past 20+ years, I have been a loyal customer of Madison Restaurant, but I can’t afford their prices any longer… For a recent brunch of cheddar red onion omelette (came with fries and rye toast) with small side of bacon and small grapefruit juice my bill was almost $35.00 before tip! Yikes!!! Yes, the food has always been good, portions are a bit larger than other places and the staff is just wonderful but I can’t afford this diner any more… Sadly, I will be eating elsewhere because of Madison Restaurant’s exorbitant prices.
The food was very good but I am an older person who remembers being able to get meal specials at reasonable prices. This is a typical diner I think their prices are astronomical which is why I can't give them a better overall rating.
