Mezzanine - New York

Mezzanine is a delightful hidden gem in Soho. The room is gorgeous and offers a lovely view of the nearby courtyard. The food is well-prepared and the service is exceptional. Lunchtime is rather quiet, making it the perfect place for a relaxed meal. It's a little expensive, but definitely worth it for the experience that it provides.

Overall, the experience was saved by the ambiance and the food, but the service was honestly very low quality for the price and location. The Black manager was the only saving grace of service there. Our white brunette bartender was rude (when we asked her to take a picture for our special occasion, she responded with a snarky comment about how she had other responsibilities, though the restaurant was practically empty). Our server, Luciano, forgot to place the candle on the dessert for my birthday, and then after we had already started eating them, he presented us with a plate of scattered raspberries with a lit candle and said sorry that he forgot to put it on the dessert. For future references, do not repeat. I’m sum, keep the Black manager. He made sure the experience and time there do not go in vain.
