I found that the Truffle Rice Cakes Al Limone at the restaurant tasted good, but did not hold up well when taken away. I had to microwave it multiple times to make it softer. The dish was very creamy and greasy, with the lemon and lemon zest not doing enough to balance out the heaviness. It lacked dimension and could have used more truffle or some vegetables. The Nowon Tofu Bun had potential, but the one I received had mostly just a thick block of tofu. There was not enough jalapeno, parmesan, peanuts, slaw, etc, as shown in the photo, making it feel like I was just eating plain tofu. I wish the tofu had been cut thinner, as the seasoned and fried outer sides were delicious. The ratios were off, and it was served on white sandwich bread instead of a seeded bun. I also ordered tots with honey butter, which were sweet and addictive, and the cheesy mushroom rice, which was tasty but too oily. Overall, the food felt like upscale and pricey bar food, leaning more towards American cuisine than fusion. As a Korean, I did not find it to be very Korean-inspired, despite a few Korean ingredients being used.
Normally I’ve liked them but the tots were over done and I ordered the tofu bun and I straight up don’t know what I got.
Food was tasty, but the portions were quite disappointing given the price
Expensive for the amount of food served
