Feedback gevenThe restaurant did not really serve breakfast until 7:00 clock, so the guests chose another location.
The service was exceptional. The food was good, though there was a bit too much dressing on my Niçoise salad.
When the meals finally came, my colleague received only three out of the four dishes we ordered. After some time, the waitress informed us there was an issue with the order. When my colleague's meal finally arrived, she could barely eat it because the meat was undercooked and overall not good. Throughout the meal, we had to seek out a server for basic things like more water. I wasn't impressed with my dish, either; there were only four scallops on my plate. Really? The final bill was $189, with around $16 in tax. They didn't have a traditional receipt system and instead brought over a tablet. The total came to $205, and I couldn't change the tip amount, which defaulted to 20% of the total including tax – this was quite misleading. I didn’t want to make a scene in front of our clients, so I voiced my concerns to the doorman instead. He mentioned the restaurant would be closing soon and that Tao was coming in, which I’m not sure is public knowledge. All in all, I was left very unimpressed. Goodbye, Opia!
Love the room, food is ok, but management and kitchen needs a lot of help!
Loved the Renaissance 57 Hotel which is where Opia is located. Food was great surprised with a wonderful jazz band. The waitress was extremely disappointing sat me next to where the band was setting up which was very disrupting to my dinner to the band. In addition she embarresed me by saying my room number was declined had to use a credit card. The hotel confirmed the next day this was not true. Overall a good experience minus the wait staff.
