Piccolo Fiore - New York

I was a bit disappointed in Piccolo Fiore. The mozzarella appetizer was served with very underripe tomatoes. The chicken parm enter may have been a frozen chicken patty. My friends had the veal and really liked it. It wasn't very crowded so that made me wonder about the reputation. Given there are so many fantastic Italian alternatives in that neighborhood, I'd take a pass.

Reunion with long time friends from points far and wide. Service excellent. Food varied and prepared beautifully. Wine list and dessert choices yum.

The food is good overall, but the pizza could be improved. It's just okay.

We have visited this restaurant multiple times over the past few years and have always been impressed with the food and service. While the service remains of high quality, it appears that the menu has been cut down significantly. Additionally, the dish we had (chicken parmigiana) was decent but did not meet our expectations based on previous visits. Overall, there is no compelling reason for us to return.

The Italian comfort food at this restaurant is outstanding, and the staff, particularly Johnny and Christina, are very friendly.
