Fond memories of this place. Rupert is a friendly fellow. Rupert and May have decided to retire and have put up the place for sale, so if you want to visit, do it now.

FANTASTIC egg and cheese sandwiches. It's in the details—the rolls they use are crisp yet soft—and they toast them on the griddle by default. The super friendly staff always asks if you want salt, pepper, ketchup instead of leaving you to disassemble the sandwich to put them on yourself later (as too many delis do). And, for a place in the heart of a tourist area, it's super reasonable. Has become a morning routine for me. A Would buy again!

This deli in terms of quality is one of the best in the area. The sandwiches are made to order exactly as asked, there are plenty of side items or other grill items other than a sandwich. One of the best things about this place is the atmosphere, Rupert and his wife are absolutely wonderful and very funny. There are some tables to sit at inside, these guys will take care of you. The prices are absolutely reasonable as well.

Had a great breakfast and a nice chat with Rupert. Very tasty egg, bacon and cheese sandwich!!! Enjoy watching NYC walk by the deli window!!
