What an amazing place that's been open for 20 years! It's definitely worth a visit. The staff is incredibly helpful when it comes to making choices, and the bartender does an excellent job with the cocktails. The ambiance is fantastic, making it a great spot to enjoy the flavors and atmosphere of New York, even if we weren’t there at night. It's a perfect place to share with our out-of-town guests!

Wonderful meal. we sat at the bar and divided the ribeye steak for two that cooked insanely good and perfection. the personal saw the restaurant wash menu before and the barkeeper, alec, gave us some free new dishes. we're coming back for the lamb balls. thank you. essex for a very special experience!

We were there for birthday, noticed it on the reservation. it has never been recognized. at the end of the dinner we wanted to go, so meet, also mentioned, they had booked a private party in the bar, who might keep their attention and increase the noise level. our food took a long time to get out. it came to room temperature and in stages. the couple with the steak for 2 was done before the majority of the other plates arrived. we didn't ask people to wait to eat when they wait long. it was a disappointing meal best and definitiw not worth what we paid in view of the experience. a regrettable choice.

A hidden gem on the Lower East Side that consistently provides top-notch service and outstanding food.

This place was great! The food was tasty, but I think the drinks are more worth it at this restaurant in particular.
