Tavern On The Green - New York

I went to Tavern On The Green for a work Christmas party and was thoroughly impressed. The venue is stunning, with plenty of seating available. The service was exceptional— the waitstaff were warm and quickly cleared away plates and glasses. The food was fantastic as well; I especially enjoyed the steak and salads!

During my visit from the UK, I was recommended this restaurant, and upon entering, it's easy to see why. The interior is beautiful and has a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff were outstanding and exceptionally attentive. We initially waited for a table to become available, but eventually chose to sit at the bar, which turned out to be a delightful experience. The burger we ordered was amazing and definitely satisfying. Would I return or recommend it to others? Absolutely—this place is a must-visit when in New York! I suggest making a reservation well in advance if you want a table, although you can walk in; just be prepared to wait for an available one.

It's a classic destination. The place is spacious, and you won't leave without spending at least $200 for a family of four, but in my opinion, the service, the views, and the memorable experience make it worthwhile. My son and I enjoyed a fantastic prix fixe brunch that lasted longer than I ever expected and left us completely full. My nine-year-old even couldn't finish his chocolate sundae—how is that even possible?
