The Clam - New York

A delicious go-to that never disappoints. Great year round and their menu changes accordingly. Beautiful interior that is quite cozy in the winter, yet bright in the summer with big windows looking out to the street. Shared east and west coast oysters with friends; I got the salmon while they got the mussels and branzino. All were fab.

Incredible selection of seafood options, with great flavors and surprisingly filling serving sizes. The sliders are a must-try and the French fries have the perfect amount of crisp. They have a nice outdoor seating section and the indoor tables feel cozy. It?s good, we enjoyed our meal. The food wasn?t particularly amazing we tried the sliders and I think the fried clams completely overpower the lobster. The shrimp was good but for $5/pop I?m not sure it?s worth it. Some of the other fish dishes might be better but most of them are upwards of $40/entree. Excellent in every detail: food, service, atmosphere and a good selection of wine by the glass with generous pours. We were having a celebration dinner and this is a perfect place for it. Among the dishes we enjoyed for starters were potato chips and clam dip, lobster arancini, and peach and arugula salad, with halibut and cod entrees. We split a snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich for dessert.
