That was our third visit to virginias. the first was just a burger at the bar, probably one of the best I ever had. our second trip we had a complete dinner and it was fantastic. I had the green chicken and my husband had the Wagyu beef. both excellent. delicious flavor, quality pages. today we had brunch on Saturday; I recommend the horned cork with fried eggs. yum. the restaurant is small and charming, the staff is charming.
One of the top three burger joints in New York City.
Very good food served by the most pretentious non-helpful employees in whole ny. virginias looks like a 5-star accommodation, but in a 5-star house, the staff and owner would go out of the way to deliver exceptional service, ask and their guests feel special. Instead, their $250 meal comes with beer in a dose, and the personal does not want to help them look for compliments. if they get the least critique, they are defensiw. instead of helpful. it is the worst pretentious hipsterism, and on a soul block from the avenue c.
We had out of town guests who came in just to try Virginia's off-menu burger only available to those seated at the bar. They do not take reservations for the bar, so we were going to leave as they were full up. The maître d' allowed us an exception. Our dinner was saved, and we enjoyed one of the very best burgers in NYC. Thank you.
