I asked if everything was vegan and was told yes, so I ordered confidently without checking Happy Cow beforehand. I also noticed a "100% plant-based" sign that made me believe this was a fully vegan cafe. However, after reading reviews on Happy Cow, I have my doubts. I wouldn't return due to the uncertainty of whether they truly understand veganism. I hope my quesadilla and cinnamon roll were indeed vegan, but I wouldn't trust this establishment as a vegan.
I ordered the Great Lakes salad and a grilled cheese at this restaurant and both dishes were outstanding. The bakery had a wide selection of items to choose from. I was told by a local that they had the best vegan croissants in the city, but unfortunately they were sold out by the time I got there in the afternoon. The outdoor seating was spacious and surprisingly quiet for New York City.
The dining experience was exceptional. The atmosphere is enchanting. The desserts are delicious. The coffee is fantastic. This place is perfect.
Great menu bakery as well as a very nice place. great place for eating blogger
I’ve been here a few times. The desserts are fun but ordering hot food has always taken way too long. It’s a shame the concept is nice and I’d love to have a reliable place in this neighborhood!
