Octopus was overcooked (but pretty tasty). The seafood in the paella shrimp were all fishy if it's not fresh, don't serve it!The staff was really nice though give them better food to work with (especially with Boqueria nearby)
Very small place. Food is ok. Paella was not what I expected, disappointed. Sangria was not strong at all. Tapas were good, service was good, the 2 staff members were good. Not a real kitchen to cook. More like a hot plate where the bar is and for their prices, you would expect a proper kitchen. Would I go again or recommend, probably not.
If you're in the mood for some tasty Spanish dishes, be sure to visit La Mano in NYC for plates that will have you swooning. We were amazed by the amount of flavor in every dish. We enjoyed Red Sangria with Gambas Al ajillo, Queso with chorizo, Paella de Mariscos, chocolate churros, and Crema Catalana. Don't miss out on their paella when you visit - you'll understand why we fell in love.
The server was extremely friendly. The food was average - we ordered croquettes and octopus. The restaurant is quite small, so it's not ideal for large groups.
Though the restaurant only has around 20 seats, the food and service are truly exceptional. The dishes are prepared right in front of you if you choose to sit at the bar. With only three staff members - the chef, his assistant, and Charlie, who ensured guests were taken care of - we enjoyed a fantastic red wine, gambas alajillo, tabla de quesos embutidos, all made without a traditional kitchen.
