A bit priceyI had the 3 dishes bento - agedashi tofu, spicy pork and tempura, it's really goodThe portion are big too.
Teppanyaki review only - never ever had sushi here but the people next to us did and looked good! TMI alert: After a lazy day of Netflix and chilling, the
Nijo Ambiance Service: Nijo reminds me of my first teppanyaki experience as a kid. Friendly skilled chefs who did the routine grill theatrics: Tossing and cracking the egg with the spatula, the heart shaped fried rice which he makes 'beat ' and of course, the onion volcano! Our servers were so sweet and kept the drinks fresh through the meal. After verifying ID, they brought out the birthday dessert for my cousin. Fantastic. The decor is straight up classic Benihana Japanese decor from the 80s which works perfect for their theme.
Nijo is a staple here for anyone that's lived in the Fremont/Newark area. It's a fun place to go with a group. Food is pretty good, and the prices are decent. Every sushi roll I've ordered was really good. They offer karaoke on Friday and Saturday after 930. If you plan on the teppanyaki dinner, make sure to make reservations ahead of time. It gets filled up towards the end of the week pretty quick, and make sure you and your group are on time as they are pretty strict when it comes to that. You're paying for the experience and that's why I keep coming back.
