Bengal Spice - Newark and Sherwood

We’re a family of eight staying in Centre Parcs and after a busy day, decided to stay in and order a takeaway. The order was on time and starters were ok but that’s where the positivity ends. Every main course was overloaded with salt, killing any spice and flavour, absolutely rotten. Two of of family ended up heaving and we’ve never experienced anything like it, utterly bizarre…!!

Had a really good takeaway this evening. Vegetable pathia and a king prawn karanghi plus rice and nan bread. The only disappointment was the spicy poppadoms, which were really thin, burnt at the edges and all in small pieces. Very poor value at £2.10 for three of them... and a lot of money for the tiniest amount of onion salad too. Won't bother buying these extras again, though we do enjoy a good poppadom as an appetiser, with some pickles.

Not used these for a while as always hit and miss , as our usuals were not open and heard they had got better thought why not !!!looking to place a 60-70 order and got someone on the phone who was getting it wrong and had to repeat myself 3-4 times I get you may be training but doesn’t give confidence when I have had wrong orders before) I said leave it I will go elsewhere , I then got a phone call back from a woman with a great attitude not) think I will never use these again and to be honest!!! A lot better curry houses out there!!!

Being new to the area, we were told by a neighbour this was a good takeaway, and they were not wrong. It was delicious. Starters, mains and sides. Delivered on time and there was plenty to go round. We will definitely order again from here.

The first time we had takeaway from here ....on arrival someone had taken our order accidentally and the gentleman couldn’t of handled it any better. It wasn’t a huge deal as accidents happen but he went out of his way to make it right! I was happy that he’d offered to cook the food again but he also gave us a bottle of wine to apologise for the mix up. Our food was so tasty and based on the customer service too, we will definitely return when we are in the area. Not many places go above and beyond to make their customers happy and it’s places like this that will always have loyal customers!
