Zizzi - Newark-on-Trent

Cannot understand bad reports. I've been going to this place for years because it's excellent. never bad service and the personal was always brilliant.

We love Italian food, decided on zizzis to celebrate the 21st birthday of my sohne. we had dinner and some had dessert....all was amazing! the service was brilliant, we had the same waitress all night and she was great, I wish I had her name xx

Brilliant location near the Newark Castle with parking for £1 just behind the restaurant next to the Castle Barge. Brilliant decor. Nice clean restaurant. Lively and busy, which is good for a restaurant and to enioy being amongst lots of people but not too many. Meals were lush, waitress was funny and really helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed. See photos which includes Caramelised Garlic Bread, which was nice. Only improvements could be a meal deal, NHS discount or 2 for 1 on cocktails (that would have made the night), but also the toilets are known for being a mosquito den (probably because dark and so close to the river). Other than that would highly recommend and will be back when next in Newark hopefully. Not a cheap family meal but worth it. X

Fantastic food, the rustic pizzas, lasagne, Grilled sea bass were excellent.

Lovely food and very attentive staff. Great place to sit outside in the summer. Thank you!
