Cheng's Gourmet - Newark

Delicious, affordable, so much flavor and excellent portions. After eating at Lucky Bamboo, this place rocks for Chinese food in Newark. No chicken and carrots in the delicious egg drop soup. Plenty of meat in the portions. Not a fan of the convenience fee for online ordering, but that is my only complaint. You can even get an extra side of sauce for only $1 and the plain fried rice does not cost extra. I love Chinese food and was very worried after having Lucky Bamboo that there weren't any great places in Newark. Not the case.

I get my order to go. However. The food here is great! I always get Singapore mei fun and beef with hot sauce (this was my craving during pregnancy too). I'm assuming she's the owner, always a joy speaking with the woman behind the counter. And I highly recommend trying the donuts.

My husband and love this place! When we moved here a few years ago, we tried almost every local Chinese restaurant. Cheng’s is by far the best! Everything tastes good, they never disappoint.

I got one big meal and 2 small meals out of the delicious beef w/hot pepper sauce QT size dinner. Unreal value. Tu and I will be back.

Food is ok but raised prices again I been going here for years now and waitress is super rude I aways leave a tip because I go here but not friendly at all and I have to fight to get refills on my drink
